As such, St. Thomas CHC provides healthcare to economically and medically vulnerable populations regardless of the patient’s ability to pay or insurance status. Our team of dedicated providers includes Internal Medicine Physicians, Family Medicine, Primary Care, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician’s Assistants (PAs), and Pediatricians. They’re joined by specialists including Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Optometry, Pulmonologists, Nephrologists, Rheumatology, Adult Psychiatry and HIV Care Specialists working to address your individual health needs and ensure you receive the highest quality of care. Our goal is to help you and your family stay healthy. All patients are welcome, regardless of ability to pay. Fees are based on a sliding scale according to your income. The on call provider will not be able to give refills and is only to be used by established patients needing to discuss an urgent health issue that cannot wait until regular clinic hours. Due to COVID-19, Medicaid renewals were paused, but they’ve returned! Starting back in April, 2023, Louisiana Medicaid must re-start eligibility reviews and close anyone who is not eligible.
